Surrendering a Pet

ADL schedules intake appointments based on space and housing availability. Currently, we are able to assist those needing to place small-medium canines and felines.

Please note: To best protect the health and well-being of the pets coming into our care and our resident population, we are currently requiring all new CANINE intakes to have at least one current DHPP, performed by a licensed DVM, at least 3 days prior to a scheduled intake appointment.

ADL is able to provide resources for low or no-cost vaccinations upon request. All new pets must be social with people and able to be safely handled by our intake team in order to be accepted into our program. In order to help with the cost of care for the animals, a non-refundable fee is required at the time of scheduling:

Puppies/Kittens under 6 months of age: $50/litter (including nursing moms and litters)

Dogs 6 months and over: $50/dog
Cats 6 months and over: $50/cat

Intakes are by appointment only via email. A confirmation email from intake is required to ensure they are on the schedule. Please email the below information to intake@adltexas.org. If the animal is 8 weeks or under, please contact foster@adltexas.org.

Our intake team is incredibly busy and will get back to you as soon as possible. Any general questions can be sent to intake email as well. Please include:
