Hi, I'm Sir Derp! And yes, the name fits. I'm a sweet, silly guy with a whole lot of love to give and occasionally… questionable coordination.

According to the people who have gotten to know me, human attention is pretty much my favorite thing ever. Once I decide you're my person-which so far hasn't taken me very long-I like to lean my entire body against your legs while you pet me. Personal space? Never heard of her.

And if you think you get to decide when the petting is finished, I may have other plans. I've been known to slowly and dramatically melt all the way to the floor when someone tries to end a scratch session. It's a very subtle technique called please continue immediately.

I've also shown everyone that I can be a playful, energetic guy, although sometimes my enthusiasm moves a little faster than my steering system. Furniture and doorframes have occasionally appeared out of absolutely nowhere. Very suspicious.

So far, I've really enjoyed spending time with other dogs and have shown myself to be a social, playful canine friend. Of course, like any dog, introductions to new friends should still be taken at a comfortable pace to make sure everyone is happy.

Now, cats. Listen. I am a brave and distinguished gentleman… until one of those tiny, pointy-footed creatures looks at me funny. My finder noticed that I seemed pretty intimidated by cats, and apparently my preferred conflict-resolution strategy is RETREAT IMMEDIATELY. Could I learn to peacefully coexist with the right feline roommate and some thoughtful introductions? Maybe!

Basically, what everyone has seen from me so far is a goofy, affectionate, social guy who loves people, enjoys canine company, and is still figuring out how to operate all four legs at the same time.
