Meet Lattie, he's a 6-year-old, male cat who we transferred into our care through our partnership with Animal Care Services. Lattie came to ADL with an unknown medical history and suspected head trauma. It was noted that he was blind in both eyes and had a hole in his hard palate (the roof of his mouth). Meet Henry—a 7-year-old Akita mix, who came into ADL’s care on March 17, 2016. When Henry was brought to ADL by a good Samaritan he was noticeably ill, coughing and wheezing. ADL veterinarians thoroughly examined Henry, and promptly diagnosed him with heart failure secondary to advanced heartworm disease. Aries is a 5 year old, Boxer mix who came to ADL on January 30, 2019. As you can see from his before photo, he was obviously emaciated. Our veterinary team performed a variety of diagnostics to assess his overall health. Bloodwork (a complete blood count and chemistry panel) were within normal limits, and did not show any evidence of organ dysfunction.
