Ramen’s Story
Ramen’s First Week: Life, Love, and Squirrels
“Ramen is settling in more and more each day, and it’s been such a joy to watch her figure things out at her own pace. One of her favorite routines? A game of fetch in the backyard followed by a long sprawl on the cool kitchen tile—total bliss.
She’s already claimed the yard as her own, chasing bugs she stirs up in the grass and sprinting along the fence line to say hi to the neighbor dogs (or scare off a few squirrels).
At first, stairs were a no-go. She’d make it to the top, then wait patiently to be carried back down. But just a few days ago, she finally braved the full journey. Now she trots up to the little platform above the living room and watches us from her perch like a tiny queen.
House training is going well—it hasn’t been totally accident-free, but she’s catching on fast. We’ve started using a string of bells on the door, and Ramen picked that up almost right away. Now she rings them when she wants to go outside… though sometimes it’s just to check if the squirrels are still out there.
She’s only been with us for a week, but she’s already learned the house rules and is fitting in beautifully. Ramen is incredibly smart, silly, and so full of potential. Every day, we see more of her personality shine through.”
– As told by Ramen’s foster, Dylan.
Ramen is still looking for her forever family.
If you have a calm home, a little patience, and a big heart, she just might be the perfect companion for you.
