Offsite Event Requests

Are you interested in having the Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL) at your event? We’d love to be a part of it!

As a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, we actively participate in community events to share our mission, educate the public, and advocate for responsible pet ownership.

To ensure we can accommodate your request, please submit your event details at least three weeks before your event date. While we review each request carefully to ensure it aligns with our mission and logistical capabilities, submitting a request does not guarantee our attendance. An ADL representative will follow up with a decision regarding our participation.

We offer a few different types of events:

Info Event: We will set up a booth to provide valuable resources and information about our organization and services available to the community (no pets included).

Ambassador Event: In addition to providing resources, we can bring a pet ambassador who will not be available for adoption at the event but will be at one of our campuses.

Adoption Event: We can bring a selection of adoptable pets, ranging from 2-8 kittens, puppies, or adult dogs, to help them find their forever homes.

Humane Education Event: We can provide a presentation on animal welfare topics such as responsible pet ownership and/or the journey through the shelter with the potential accompaniment of a pet.

Donation Drive: We can arrange a donation pick-up or drop-off at the close of the donation drive with the potential accompaniment of a pet.

Educational Tours: We offer one-hour tours for groups of up to 20 people to see firsthand how our shelter operates while having the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, along with meeting some of our furry friends. Topics discussed include general pet care, how to properly approach a dog, what to do when you see a stray, and the importance of getting pets spayed or neutered.

Career Day: An ADL team member can talk about careers offered within the animal welfare industry.
