Noble’s Story

When Noble was adopted from ADL in October 2024, his future was uncertain. Today, he’s living his best life in Maryland, surrounded by a family that can’t imagine life without him.

Adopted by Army Nurse 1st Lt. Citlaly Sosa shortly after a move across the country, Noble quickly became much more than a pet—he became the heart of the family.

“He has become especially attached to my autistic brother, Ray, and their bond has been truly special for our family,” the Sosa family shared.

Noble has a remarkable way of bringing comfort to those around him. He has helped Ray connect and socialize with others, provided companionship for his grandfather during recovery from multiple surgeries, and gives his grandmother an added sense of safety at home.

Despite his important role as family therapist and comfort companion, Noble still knows how to have fun. He loves exploring the neighborhood, proudly carrying sticks on his walks, and showing off his favorite toys to anyone willing to admire them. He also has a unique sense of style.

“He loves to wear hats,” his family says. “He is a love bug.”

These days, Noble enjoys a large fenced yard, cross-country adventures with his family, and plenty of love from Grandma, Grandpa, Ray, and Citlaly whenever she’s home from her duties serving our country.

The Sosa family says they are forever grateful for the opportunity to adopt Noble and give him a second chance.

“We are incredibly grateful she was able to give him a second chance,” they shared.

Now, it’s clear that Noble gave his family something in return—a loyal friend, a source of comfort, and a reminder that one adoption can change many lives.
