Again, ADL’s new spay/neuter line is 210-655-1481, ext. 106. Appointments will be taken on Fridays between the hours of 2-4pm and Saturdays between the hours of 10am-12pm. All pet owners must speak to a live person. Voice messages will not be accepted. Again, if you are interested in scheduling a s/n appointment for your dog or cat, you must call 210-655-1481, ext. 106 between the hours of 2 and 4 pm on Fridays or between the hours of 10 am and 12 pm on Saturdays and speak to a live person to schedule your appointment. Thank you for complying with our new s/n appointment process. The spay/neuter surgeries take place Monday through Wednesday and are performed at the ADL Clinic, located at 11215 Iota Dr., just around the corner from our Adoption Center.
The regular prices for our spay/neuter services are as follows:
- Male Cats – $40
- Female Cats – $45
- Feral Cats – $20 (with earnotch)*
- Male Dogs under 25 pounds – $45
- Female Dogs under 25 pounds – $55
- Male Dogs between 25 and 50 pounds – $60
- Female Dogs between 25 and 50 pounds – $70
- Male Dogs between 51 and 75 pounds – $70
- Female Dogs between 51 and 75 pounds – $85
- Male Dogs 76 pounds or larger - $90
- Female Dogs 76 pounds or larger - $100
There is no need to qualify for our regular Low Cost spays/neuters performed at our Clinic. All animals must weigh at least two pounds in order to undergo a surgical procedure. Seniors (65 and over) receive a 10% discount on the above spay/neuter services.

* Feral Cat Spay and Neuter Information:
All members of the community who bring in Feral Cats to be sterilized at ADL must have completed a Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Workshop through the San Antonio Feral Cat Colaition. For more information, workshop dates or details about these workshops, please visit the SAFCC website at Workshop Calendar. Feral cat surgeries will be performed Mondays – Thusdays. Drop off times for feral cats are 7am-9am. They will be ready to pick up on the same day between 4pm and 5pm. A total of 15 surgeries for feral/community cats will be performed each day. Please follow these guidelines:
- *A feral cats must arrive in a humane trap.
- *All feral/community cats will be ear notched.
- *We will only perform 15 feral/community cat procedures in each of the above noted days.
FREE Spay/Neuter Surgeries for Residents of 20 San Antonio Zip Codes – See Below:
In an effort to reduce the number of unwanted, abandoned and stray animal population of dogs and cats in our City, ADL will be offering FREE spay and neuter services to residents who reside in 20 San Antonio zip codes: 78202, 78203, 78204, 78207, 78208, 78210, 78211, 78212, 78220, 78221, 78222, 78223, 78225, 78226, 78227, 78236, 78241, 78242, 78252 & 78263. The Animal Defense League is able to offer this special as a result of a grant awarded to ADL from Animal Care Services. This collaboration will afford residents the opportunity to sterilize their cats and dogs at no cost to them while helping to reduce the overpopulation of animals at the same time. Residents from these zip codes must meet certain restrictions and the pet must be currently vaccinated against rabies. If no proof is provided, a rabies vaccine will be given during the surgery date at the cost of $12 to the pet owner. Help ADL and ACS spread the word about this effort. If you live in one of these zip codes and need to have your pet sterilized, contact us today to schedule an appointment. If you have friends, family or know of anyone who lives in one of these zip codes whose pet needs to be sterilized, let them know.
Every year, millions of unwanted dogs and cats, including puppies and kittens, are needlessly euthanized in shelters across the United States.
