Become a Summer volunteer!
It’s time for Summer and the Animal Defense League of Texas is looking for a group of diverse volunteers for the Paul Jolly Center for Pet Adoptions, located at 210 Tuleta Drive (across from the San Antonio Zoo). You can make a difference this Summer by donating your time to help abandoned, neglected, abused, and homeless pets find forever homes. You can save lives this summer with the Animal Defense League of Texas!
There will be three 2-hours shifts available for the following positions:
- Puppy Room Aid
- Cattery Aid
- Greeter/Front Desk Aid
- Dog Walker (Must have the required 12 hours volunteered and completed the dog-walking orientation.)
- General Support
HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER:
* Minimum age to volunteer is 12. Volunteers 16 and older may volunteer on their own without a parent or legal guardian present. Children, age 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also an ADL volunteer at all times.
- STEP ONE: Complete a Volunteer Application. It’s online and easy to do! VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM
- STEP TWO: Attend a volunteer orientation. After submitting your application, you will receive an email with a special link from our Volunteer Manager, Christina Ramirez, that will allow you to schedule your orientation class and pay for your t-shirt. Please allow 12-48 hours to receive your email with the special link. If you have any questions please email Christina Ramirez for more information.
