Here are some tips that may help them remain calm.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a stuffed Kong toy ready to go with something super yummy inside (i.e. peanut butter, ground up dog food) to serve as a distraction and soothing device during the worst of the storm.<\/li>\n<li>If your dog is comfortable in the crate, have their crate available and padded with bedding. Provide them with their favorite toy, even a shirt that smells like you can be comforting.<\/li>\n<li>Play soothing music to help distract them from the storm.<\/li>\n<li>Play games and provide them with their favorite treats to keep them busy.<\/li>\n<li>Use a &#8220;thunder shirt&#8221; for your pet. This may help them stay calm.<\/li>\n<li>Keep them inside!
