April, formerly known as Owlbear, found her forever home with Joseph and his family\u2014and quickly became the sweetest little addition to their pack.<\/p>\n

\u201cApril has developed into the best cuddle buddy,\u201d Joseph shared. \u201cShe loves climbing, sleeping, and definitely snacking.\u201d Her favorite spot is right on Joseph\u2019s chest while he rests, where she can settle in close and purr the day away.<\/p>\n

April also has a funny habit of keeping tabs on the kitchen. She knows exactly where the pantry is, and whenever Joseph walks in, she is right there to investigate. \u201cShe is curious as to what I\u2019m doing and if she can have a bite,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Her name holds an especially heartfelt meaning. Joseph\u2019s first cat, Miles, passed away last August. April was adopted in April\u2014the same month as Miles\u2019 birthday\u2014so Joseph chose her name as a tribute to him. In so many ways, she reminds him of his beloved first cat.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have a lot of similar mannerisms,\u201d Joseph said. \u201cThey\u2019re chatty, have loud purrs, and love sleeping by my side.\u201d With a touch of orange in her fur, April feels like a loving reminder of Miles. \u201cIt feels like it\u2019s Miles sending her to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today, April shares her home with two corgi siblings, Howie and Harper. The three pets get along wonderfully and have made their home even happier, livelier, and more complete.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow our family has three pets and feels like the family is complete,\u201d Joseph shared.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re so grateful April found her way to a family who loves her so deeply\u2014and that her story carries a little piece of Miles with it. \ud83d\udc3e<\/p>\n
