Destination Home

Small DHThank you for your interest in Destination Home!

Destination Home is a rescue transport partnership between Alamo Rescue Friends (ARF) and Animal Defense League (ADL) that transfers San Antonio dogs to approved shelters in New England where they are adopted into permanent new homes. You can learn more about ARF’s history of successful rescue transports here: Alamo Rescue Friends

Destination Home requires only three weeks of your time. Fosters drive their dog to medical checks at the beginning and end of their stay, and to the departure location on travel day. All dogs are fully vetted prior to entering the program. ARF / ADL provides food, a crate, and medical care. We send six transports a year and are always looking for fosters. Want to know more? Contact Letty Davila, Foster Coordinator, at foster@adltexas.org.
